Heathcliff - Heathcliff and the Cadillac Cats (DVD)
Making his debut as a newspaper comic strip in 1973 (five years before the appearance of Garfield), cartoonist George Gately`s eponymous feline sprang to animated life with the mid-`80s television series HEATHCLIFF AND THE CATILLAC CATS. The cartoon followed the subversive antics of the troublemaking orange tabby (voiced by the legendary Mel Blanc) as he tormented the neighborhood bulldog, Spike; romanced his girlfriend, Sonja; and generally exasperated his loving owners, the Nutmeg family. The series also featured a segment called THE CATILLAC CATS (aka CATS AND CO.), which chronicled the moneymaking schemes of a junkyard gang of alley cats who drove a magical mutating Cadillac. Fun and nostalgic, this collection presents 24 complete episodes of HEATHCLIFF AND THE CATILLAC CATS presented in their original broadcast order.
